I've found a weird issue in where with my USB external Scarlett 2i2 which works connected with sndio, when I open Qutebrowser and go to a youtube video to play in the browser the audio works but sometimes all USB external devices like my keyboard and trackball stop working. My ThinkPads trackpad, keypad and nipple still work though. Not sure where to start but it only happens when I try using the in browser youtube player ????

Got my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 working on and have it chose that when it's connected and the ThinkPads audio when it's not. Yeah I'm easily pleased I know. ;)

snaps v1 is released! a backup program to backup untrusted hosts and protects for example against the rsync exploits from last year (https://phrack.org/issues/72/11_md#article)

After running the beta release since 2018 reliably, it is time to call it stable.

Some Mastodon clients use ntfy.sh for push messaging - which is a decentralised, more privacy-friendly way. However, the official instance regularly ratelimits connections :flan_nooo:

We have setup our own ntfy instance! You can now use ntfy.exquisite.network for all your push messaging needs :flan_hurrah:

OpenBSD 7.7.and KDE Plasma 6.3.3, from first principles:

I used the OpenBSD FAQ to get a basic X Window system running, including trunking the wireless adapter.

I then checked recommendations in /usr/local/share/doc/pkg-readmes/* to setup KDE Plasma etc.

Quite pleased with the documentation, and the result!

While the missions keeps the same by providing a free place for beginners to learn, educate themselves and test things in the wild on BSD-based systems (such like , , (or even ) and many more ones) with public accessible IP addresses, the old nerdy design only hit a niche of users.

We want to make BoxyBSD more accessible & enjoyable to everyone and this is one of the first steps. We know, a laggy SSH connection doesn't make fun and therefore, we're also setting up new locations to provide you a better latency independent of your location.

During this time, signups for new users are currently deactivated until the new locations are up and running and the first real-user tests within the new interface have been successfully performed.

I couldn't wait. I'm currently installing KDE Plasma on my OpenBSD laptop - before having to rush to a client.

@job Really liking it, thank you! I might be weird but it was one of the features I was quite excited about in the new 7.8 release!

I believe I am not alone in asking this -- in a future version, would you be able to add an option that could call an external application on change, either with or without piping on the changes via stdout?

Currently I'm using entr for static site generation, and I would really like to swap it for a built-in tool. Watch could fit that bill.

But I immediately wanted to use watch for monitoring nodes in my tailscale network by calling tailscale status. It would be supr helpful if it could trigger a command: for example I could trigger a ntfy call via curl that would immediately tell me if a server drops off. Something like, watch -l -X "curl -G -d @- http://my.ntfyinstan.ce/?bla'" tailscale status or even watch --silent -l | curl etc

Would you consider such functionality? It would be awesome and could extend the use cases for watch very significantly.
